Well, i came up with a rather nice project to work on today, well.. i say rather nice, only in the way that hitler was ‘good’ at being a dictator.
After watching the mini-series of Battlestar Galactica recently, nothing has ever brought the threat of nuclear war/destruction closer to home for me. In the first 40 minutes of the show, the homeplanet called Caprica, is pretty much obliterated, nukes hitting here and there, people dying in their millions, nations wiped out etc.. etc..
This did actually depress me for a while, i only realised as i sat down to eat dinner later that day that it was the BSG mini-series that had gotten me blue.
I’ll say it again, never before has something hit home quite so well than the mini-series, and so.. i intend to relay my fears into photographic form, this is gonna be quite a task.. i’m going to give it a couple of weeks.
I wanna nuke london! (i am aware this is now going to be monitored closely by some uber-l337 haXx0r spy)
Seriously, i intend to produce a series of photos depicting London post-nukage.. Only in the hope that it will convey the same message to others as BSG did to me..
I’m not sounding like a paranoid 60’s throwback am i? Hope not, i’m using London as a subject because i live here, and i rather like it.
